Jan joined the Momentum Metropolitan Group as Chief Risk Officer in 2013, previously serving as Chief Risk Officer at Barclays Africa and FirstRand Limited. Having started his career at KPMG (Pretoria and London), where he became a senior manager, he joined Goldman Sachs as an executive director. He received the Institute of Risk Management's Santam Risk Manager of the Year Award in 2006.
